Azure Functions comes out of Preview

Congratulations to the Azure Functions Team as Functions joins LogicApps in General Availability (GA). That means Functions is now officially ready for  use in real, mission critical applications. So now Microsoft offers both FaaS and WaaS serverless services, with some unique features.

Yochay Kiriaty Principal Program Manager, Azure Platform explains more in his announcement. Plus, no doubt we’ll hear more during the Connect(); event over the next 3 days (live streamed). Of note is Yochay’s comment that binding framework will be released next year and will allow a community of 3rd party bindings to develop.
Here’s a collection of important links for Functions.
Enjoy!
